Tracing Family Branches

I was browsing through the Government Gazettes on Trove  and came across my great grandfather John Patrick Stevens, 1924 registration of a stock brand.  He well knew the value of having his stock branded in order to prove ownership and avoid disputes, especially after his horse was stolen in 1906 (see  here ).
