Today's obituary is for my 1st cousin 5x removed Henry Rhall Smith (1857-1922). The son of John Thomas Smith and his wife Jane (nee Rhall) he was born at Newcastle, New South Wales in 1857. In 1882 he married Margaret Banfield and together they had eight known children. Henry died in 1922 and was buried at Sandgate Cemetery in Newcastle. Source: OBITUARY. (1922, July 13).
