Sunday's Obituary: James Alfred Guymer

Today's obituary is for my 3rd Great Uncle James Alfred Guymer.   James (also known as Fred) was born c.1858 in New South Wales, Australia, the son of my 3rd Great Grandfather Alfred Guymer (see more here ) and his wife Hannah Maria nee Jones. He married my 3rd Great Aunt Hannah Dolphin Jones from my Jones/Quigg line (see more here  and  here ) c.1879 in New South Wales, Australia.  James died on the 6th December 1892 at Baw Baw, New South Wales, three days after his wife Hannah leaving their only known child Ada an orphan (more information on Ada Guymer can be found here ). James was buried on the 7th December 1892 at Thurlow Methodist Church Cemetery, Baw Baw which is also known as Baw Baw Cemetery (see here ). Source: Sad Death. (1892, December 6). Sunday's Obituary: Richard James Bell

Richard James Bell was born in 1881, the son of William Henry Bell and his wife Catherine (nee Campbell). My connection to him is that he is my first cousin four times removed.  In 1919 Richard married Mary Alice Richmond.  He died in 1935 at Goulburn and was buried at Marulan Cemetery. Source: MR. R. J. Sunday's Obituary - Lewis Guymer (1862-1934)

Lewis Guymer is my 2nd Great Grand Uncle born in 1862, the son of Alfred Guymer and his wife Hannah Maria Jones. In 1890 he married Harriet Bell who was born in 1872 to William Bell and his wife Elizabeth.  Lewis died in Goulburn in 1934 with Harriet surviving him until 1958.  Source: OBITUARY. (1934, May 15). Trove Tuesday - California [Private Information]

I came across this article on Trove from The Goulburn Herald dated 16th February, 1850 while researching my 4th Great Grand Aunt Mary Beaver (nee Rhall) who with her husband Charles Beaver went to California on board the ship   Louisa   in 1849. Although according to this article they were doing well in California, they soon returned to Australia due to the death of Charles father William who had an undertakers business in Sydney.
