The city coroner to-day inquired into the death of Thomas McWilliams, at Broughton Hall Mental Hospital, Leichhardt, on October 4.  A written statement by Frederick Joseph Donnelly, another patient, was produced.  Donnelly described how he saw the man cut his throat.  He struggled with him and forced the knife out of his hand.  The coroner returned a verdict of suicide.
